NORWALK - A woman in her 20's was transported by ambulance after being accidentally shot at a house party by a child, possibly her nephew. The 911 caller said that a child accidentally shot someone and that a female victim was outside and the gun was locked up inside. The female victim can be seen in the back of the ambulance. Once transported LASD had to clear the house of the party goers to retrieve the weapon safely. People can be seen exiting the house.
The homeowners son (the gun owner) was seen in handcuffs being put in the back of a sheriff's unit. Per a neighbor off camera he said that a child does not live at the home and he wasn't surprised to hear of the shooting due to the homeowners son owning many guns.
It's unknown how old the child is. He/She (not on camera) was put in a sheriff's unit during the investigation. It's unknown if the parents are at scene or if they were around during the shooting.
There are now conflicting reports... it's possible the gun owner did the shooting and blamed it on the child.
